This five-day mini course is designed to give young people (11+) skills, comfort and confidence in the kitchen and teach them how to cook essential, beloved dishes that they’ll make for the rest of their lives. In these live classes we will also cover basic kitchen and knife safety, menu planning and kitchen management. These are the crucial skills every human needs to know before living on their own. No prior experience necessary.

Imagine a world where every teenager could cook incredibly delicious, nourishing meals for themselves and their families!
What a wonderful gift that would be to them, to their families and to the world.
After teaching hundreds of kids in my Spring and Summer camps the most common request I get from parents is for more classes and a way to keep the momentum up across the year.
And so...I invite your tween to a culinary experience with me as a founding member. Over the nine months we will further develop their skills and love for food (AND help share parents' load of preparing delicious meals at home).
In this festive session of Favours to Your Future
Elf, we’re making delicious, freezable edible gifts! We will stock the freezer with gorgeous festive treats that you can thaw and gift throughout the season. Future you will be giving the best-ever hostess gifts!
We are making buttery slice-and-bake cookies
with three different variations: chocolate chunk, lemon-ginger, and London fog (aka, Earl Grey-Vanilla). These pretty cookies are easy to make and freeze, then just slice as many as you want and bake just before gifting (or serving)!
During festive times, fudge is kind of a must….
but instead of making complicated, fussy, traditional fudge, we’re making the easy kind! This chocolate-peanut butter confection is just as delicious, and everyone will love it.
Spiced pear butter is a creamy, sweet jam kind of affair, but classy! It looks so beautiful in glass jars with a little ribbon. Serve it with cheese, spread it on toast or scones or –my fave–stir into yogurt!
The little cherry cakes we made last year were such a hit that we’re going to make another round of adorable sweet loaf cakes, this time
lemon butter cakes. Tender, lemony and golden, these cakes are gifts for those extra-special friends in your life. Love it with poppyseeds? I’ll show you how to add them.

Class: Favours To your Future Self
What a fun afternoon! We had the bolognese last night for dinner - teriyaki chicken is on the menu tonight. Between what we made yesterday and what I already have in the house. I don't have to think about a single dinner all week! Whew! I can actually spend some time doing a few other things around here. So happy! I do hope you do this again - with maybe a few different recipes - I'd be up for that. Thanks Claire

I can't wait to use my gorgeous pesto this month. Everything turned out so well, and I would not have gotten as many lovely meals into my freezer as a favour to my future self without you. So fun!!!! Thanks and see you again soon, I hope.
